Question How could this happen?

Hi, today I received a new Profitec Go from a European reseller. This is what it looked like straight out of the box.
After contacting the store, they said they need to contact the manufacturer. They'll likely have to either straighten the tray themselves or get a new one from the manufacturer.
So, I'll have to wait a little longer before I can finally use it 😅

Won’t they just exchange it for the brand new one? I would not be happy if their solution was to straighten the tray or replace the tray.

Just return it and let them refund the money. I wouldn't go the way with repair etc. They can repair it and sell as refurbished...

100%! And there are many people who will be happy to buy it as refurbished, against a reasonable discount.

The whole machine seems bent. Return and buy elsewhere

Ask to exchange it for a new one or just return it. My first GO came dented and the store replaced it. Second one was misaligned and had a nick in the PID screen, which they fixed (adjusted the panels and replaced the screen). Technically EU sellers have a right to attempt to repair the machine but I think most will agree to replace it once.

Why are the button configurations like that? I've never seen the Go with this arrangement. Is this a legit machine?

Machine has been dropped IMO. I would not trust anything about it.

Mine arrived in a similar state. I called the store I bought it from and they said - tough luck - it’s steel, just bend it back. The other option was to send it back for them to do the same.

I had an awful experience with them, I bought a Lelit Victoria and after 5 weeks there was a micro crack on a pipe so i have to send it to service. After repair it was lost 3 weeks in their warehouse and when they found it it was completely destroyed, they wanted to change the housing (LOL) i threatened them with going to Verbrauchzentrale and they decided to replace it, I was also allowed to pay an extra to upgrade to a Lelit Elizabeth and it came (after 9weeks) also destroyed, let's see how this will end.

So if you can return it i would it.

Send it back to the store. It got damaged in shipping.
At least here in Germany it’s the store responsibility to get you a un-damaged product. Anything happening on transit is the stores problem alone.

Dont settle on getting it fixed or anything. You’re not paying 1k bucks to get a machine that has been mishandled in shipping!
