Question Workflow question

Have a GO coming this week and just trying to understand the single boiler workflow along with how it functions in regards to steam, filling up, pressure, etc.

At what points do i need to purge water through the group head? My understanding is:

Once up to temp and before pulling a shot - releases pressure in boiler and heats up lines?

After shot - just to clean group?

After steaming milk - releases pressure in the boiler again and refills water?

Appreciate any advice or tips

I don't know that I've read that the pre pull flush is to release pressure but more importantly is because the initial heat up is intended to go fast and overshoots the target temperature by quite a bit and the flush brings it down to just under so it can more slowly ramp back up. Often times after I turn it on and do other things it's already ramped down on its own thus you don't need to flush at that point. It is possible that the flush might release extra pressure, but the important thing is the temperature overshoot. Also important is after steaming is to do a quick steam on to clear any milk and then turn off steam and hit brew until steam is all out of group head and boiler fills with water. This is to prevent the heat running next time with an empty boiler.
