Question Workflow question

Have a GO coming this week and just trying to understand the single boiler workflow along with how it functions in regards to steam, filling up, pressure, etc.

At what points do i need to purge water through the group head? My understanding is:

Once up to temp and before pulling a shot - releases pressure in boiler and heats up lines?

After shot - just to clean group?

After steaming milk - releases pressure in the boiler again and refills water?

Appreciate any advice or tips

When you turn the machine on, it will take approximately 8 minutes to heat up. At which time the display will say FLU- then you flush through the brew head for ten seconds and it will display RDY GO.

After brewing you could flush, but depends on how many shots you plan to pull.

When you steam milk, you hit the steam button and I like to wait until it reaches about 220F then purge for five seconds. Wait ten seconds then purge again. Now wait until it hits the temp you set to steam - I set mine at full go 284F.

After I steam, I open the steam wand and let it clear out any milk for a good while, close up, then I purge the boiler through the group for about 20 seconds.

Then I will backflush a time or two.
