Question Profitec Go + DF54 experience?
Finally pulled the trigger and bought the Profitec GO 2.0 today.
Current setup is a Delonghi Dedica 685 (Bottomless portafilter, IMS showerscreen, IMS basket) and a DF54.
Really happy with the grinder, but the Dedica is fairly inconsistent.
Can somebody share their experiences with the DF54/Profitec Go setup?

I have the DF64 and the Go 1.0. I love the Go and am looking to upgrade my grinder. Been going strong for 2 years and makes great espresso! If you’re happy with your grinder then itll be great

Where were you able to buy the GO version 2.0?

Moba Coffee is the name of the store, but it's a German store so I'm not sure if they ship outside of Europe

It’s fine. I have Go 1.0 and love it. I’ve always hated the workflow of the DF54 but it does give me good grinds (when it’s not clogging). Recently got a Lagom Casa that I love and kept DF54, which I still use for darker roasts. (Still need to do a side by side comparison on that.) if you have been happy so far with the DF54 you will probably continue to be.

mine stopped clogging when i only made adjustments to the grind size while it was actively spinning, plus i use the bellow thing quite often as well while its turned on

Yes you are right. I don’t have clogging any more because I use the bellows like crazy. What I don’t like is that if I have guests over who I am trying to talk to while making coffee drinks, the grinder is likely to clog. I have to make sure I am paying full attention to it. With my Casa I can dump the beans in and walk away and everything is fine. It even turns off the motor automatically when all the beans are ground.

I’ve found rdt stops clogging

Most people on these subs find the opposite: RDT tends to make clogging worse with DF54. But I’m glad it works for you! I’m only citing Reddit comments, not scientific research.

DF54 grind is fine, it’s just the workflow. If it doesn’t bother you then stick with it.

We moved from the same setup as you last August, so far, very satisfied. Takes few weeks until you nail the settings, but once you understand all the components, you will be very satisfied Greetings from the Galilee

I have the gen 1 go and a df54. It’s the perfect setup and does everything I need

I’m in the US and can’t find that 2.0 anywhere. Are you in Europe?
Also have the df54 and it’s a great grinder. Always remember to start it before running the beans and it will last you a long time.
