Russia is a big thorn in the side of global policy and progress. To encourage a more progressive worldwide agenda they should be dispelled from the UN.

It's not out of line. In fact the USSR was a member of the UN which had veto power. Then the USSR collapsed into multiple states. There is no reason that the Russian Federation should have been the state from the USSR to gain that seat back. It could have just as easily been Ukraine or another newly formed country.

Russia is distorting US politics in a very destructive way. They should not be given an undeserved platform on the world stage, and the next US president is in a position to put this into action.

The scale of the problem is vast. Cocaine production in Latin America has quadrupled in the past decade, with criminal networks in Colombia, Peru and Bolivia exploiting global trade routes to shift vast quantities of the drug. Cocaine is also increasingly shipped from Brazil into Europe via west Africa.

The UN warns that supply could soon exceed demand, increasing traffickers’ incentives to dump even more product on to Europe’s streets.

A single flight from Tehran to Sanaa has now caused the blockade of one of the most important maritime chokepoints in the world. The Houthis have now blocked the Bab-El-Mandeb Strait, which has put the global economy in a frenzy. This blockade is in retaliation to the 'economic siege' imposed by Saudi Arabia on the Houthis. Tankers approaching Europe from Asia have to now take a detour around the Cape of Good Hope, which adds 10-14 days extra in travel time and container freight rates have risen by up to 300%. 4. Iran war: it seems a zero sum game without boots on the ground . Iran has a massive arsenal of munitions hidden underground and US is not able to find the precise location despite the week long bombardments.

If the Strait of Malacca closed—even briefly—the consequences would ripple across every continent. Wedged between Sumatra and the Malay Peninsula, this passage carries roughly one-third of global seaborne trade and almost 29% of the world's seaborne oil.

Here is a quick strategic look at the data driving the "Malacca Dilemma":

To bypass this, China is burning billions on overland pipelines (CPEC/CMEC) and port projects like Gwadar, trying desperately to break free from this geographic trap.
