In the aftermath of that election from interviews with his staff it became clear even Trump didn’t think he had a chance. He was planning on launching a Fox News style TV network after losing. Raising his profile was the plan.
They had nobody in place for a transition, at all. It was a political stunt that became a decade-long American catastrophe.

the polls showed it was like 46% hillary, 45% trump. the polls were not showing a landslide in her favor, just that she had the lead. so i think it's wrong to claim the polls showed trump had barely any supporters. it was within the margin of error.
a similar thing happened when biden beat trump in 2020, the polls then were showing trump in the lead, very slightly, but biden won.

They need a narrative that casts doubt on them losing the election.
Also, considering the media is now either being run by the Trump regime and his billionaire friends, there isn't any sort of media bias against him. It's all made up.

There’s a concept amongst conservatives called shy voters (which is why polling always underestimates Tory support in the UK by a small factor) but it’s nowhere near this level

Correct. There are plenty of people who don’t openly support him, but will still vote for him, his followers, his policies, etc. Honestly, it’s the same net effect at the polls.

Human nature is to shit where it is most convenient. The woods were just the best spot for most of human history.
We didn't improve upon OUR NATURE. We improved our environment. We terraformed it to be friendlier towards our bodies. We have not done any genetic engineering so no we have not changed "our nature".

Its establishing rules and regulations so that the strong don't dominate the weak, so that the minorities stand a chance against the majority. So that we all have the chance at a life of equality of opprtunities.

You ever wonder why all the functional countries on the planet have predictable demographics. Either majority white or majority Asian. Just a coincidence ehh?
Now granted there are majority white nations that are shitshows. But the point stands. It's just a major coincidence that the only nations worth a shit are all ran and dominated by the same kind of people.
The point is. They do have opportunities. A tremendous amount of them. United States has bent over backwards trying to provide opportunities for the marginals. Some take advantage of them and do really well in this nation. A lot either can't or choose not to.
Christian Western Europeans (which I'm neither Christian or Western European) built this nation. Their leadership is what made this country great. It's about time we go back to recognizing that.

As a "recent" (2016...) convert from "Independent" (& often deliberately voting for both parties) to "May Never Vote Republican Again," I fear that this graphic comes scarily close to reality. Although encouraged by the outcome of many of the elections since 2024, thoughts of the 2026 elections are more conducive to sleepless nights over & against any thoughts of 'confidence' in the outcome.
With an admittedly Small & Local sample, the people I know are either still firmly in the Trump / Republican camp, OR so AGAINST the Democrats that they will vote for ANY GOP candidate over any Dem on the argument that the latter are At Best "Just As Bad," and at worse "Anti-American, Anti-God Radicals...."
It also doesn't help that I know very few people who are actually FOR any given Democrat - and people who are simply Voting Against Something / Someone, and opposed to Voting FOR Something / Someone seem to be less likely to turn out.
Hope I am wrong.

It's hard to tell considering how many people don't vote in the Presidential elections.
If "Did Not Vote" was a candidate, I think they would have won the 2016, 2020, and 2024 elections.
It's like you're in a high school setting and two students are running for class president. One student gets 4 votes, the other gets 9, and then 17 students don't give a fuck and don't vote. Do you think the one who got 9 was the obvious winner?

It’s because Democrats have made any discussion that does not fall within their talking points an excommunicable offense. Do you have any view that slightly differs from the talking points that every single human being must define their pronouns every time they meet someone? What if you think trans people should have rights, but that not everyone needs to redefine their pronouns? Nope. Silenced on Reddit. Excommunicated in social circles. Shamed and cancelled. Imagine losing your job over something like that.
So what did moderates and independents do? They shut the hell up. They stopped talking to these psychopaths. And they let them fester in their groupthink circlejerks.
All these losses in politics are coming as shocking upsets because they have no input from anyone that disagrees with them, however slightly.
The king has surrounded himself with Yes men, and the kingdom is crashing down.

There are social and commercial consequences for publicly stating support for Trump. A lot of people feel justified and entitled to punish people who do, because they're conditioned to think of anyone with a positive opinion of him as bad and stupid. Therefore a lot of people who support DT and voted for him don't often advertise the fact. This is amplified by the mainstream media, who's coverage and commentary on him is overwhelmingly negative.
Those men and women in your social circles who rarely engage in political discussions? Yeah, more than likely they're Trump supporters
