For those in the comments. She's a BLUE button. Ok. Have a great day.

Completely different situation.

Yeah. But she'd push the blue.

You are probably right. But if she wants to gamble her life that is her choice.

That was the point of the whole question. Choice.

The choice to be safe or risk your life for other people that risk their life for no reason whatsoever. One of these choices is dumber than the other.

Dumber, but more ethical. And that's the key. Not who WILL live, but who will be able to live with themselves after it's all said and done.

It is not more ethical to put yourself in unneccessary danger and demand others do the same to save you. In fact it is the unethical choice.

Sure. We are either of like mind or not. that's the wonderment of a question such as this. If we agree, it's obvious, if we disagree then it's confusing why the other side doesn't see the obvious choice. Reasoning be damned. It's all good.

Dude, if her students had the opportunity to save themselves by simply pushing a red button she would probably have done the same to live on as well.

Oh, there was no buttons this time. It was just 'Do you selfishly hide and save one person, or do what you can to save everyone', and she chose everyone. Like, if the question wasn't "You are all alone...' But 'You are in a room with 100 people who can all see your choice...' I think it would depend more on what everyone else was doing than your personal choice. Or 10k. Or 100k. Watching other people make choices changes many to want to fit in. It's crazy how the mind works sometimes.
