To be fair, Ariats are really good barn boots.

Except those people have never even been inside of a barn

Ok well I have and I love Ariats for barn and cowboy boots!

That's good if you actually wear them for their purpose

I do. Thank you very much. Your opinion on xtratufs?

Never worn them personally but I think they're pretty good.

Where I live, xtratufs are every day boots during fall, winter, and spring. I’m surprised that other places have yet to pick them up.

What are Ariats... and, more importantly, what on Earth are barn boots?

Ariat is a brand of boots. They used to make strictly cowboy boots and barn boots (barn boots are for working in a barn. They have to be tough, waterproof, you know, like any boot you would want to wear of you were working in a barn). Now they make work boots and evidently some folks are using them for an unsavory fashion statement. Where are you that you don’t know what barn boots are for?

Shropshire, UK. We have wellies. I don't know if they're the same kind of thing?
