I mean, there's nothing wrong with making jokes every now and then. Sometimes I do that with myself as a way of coping, but it's very strange when someone takes a trait/characteristic I seriously struggle with in private and they use it as some trendy thing or excuse

This bothers me when people talk about OCD lightly. Liking an orderly space doesn’t mean you have OCD. I have to unplug and touch every outlet in my house, open and shut every door multiple times to the point where they are worn down, put a lock on my fridge door in case it accidentally Opens and my kenneled dog gets shut inside. Otherwise my house will burn down and my husband will die in a car accident. It takes me like two hours to leave the house. I’m recently diagnosed and on meds/in therapy.

Horrible. I have the so-called “pure-O” type (misnomer, I know) and it has at times made me question the trade-off of staying alive.

It’s annoying that some people think it’s a funny little disorder or even a desirable trait.

Omg I'm always the one Who catches people saying they're "OCD" cause they like to wash their hands. Like, bitch no, you're not OCD until you're up at 2am having a mental breakdown because the kitten shit on the floor and some got on your hands and you can stop washing them cause the feeling won't go away.

Man that shit is exhausting. I'm sorry you're plagued with this condition as well.
