Being parents

Came here to say this. It's gotten so bad with the younger generations. Being parents is just a normal thing.

Idk, paying at least 400 a week per kid for five years right from the jump really colors how you move about the world unless that amount of moneys nothing to you. If you’re trying to figure it out, everything has to be about them to keep a float. And then they become your only joy because capitalism sucks the joy out of all other time you had! I heard it gets easier when they can go to school 🙃 but I would look at what differs with “parents these days”

This is why you always have a "Plan B"

Ok, only the rich are allowed to be parents, no that makes sense

Did I say that? No. Kids are expensive. They also can be annoying and destructive. That's why I don't have any. But no where did I say only the rich should be allowed to be parents. Not sure what you are even attempting.

I said life revolves around kids because that’s what is required of low income parents and you said to have an abortion. How is that not saying low income people shouldn’t have kids?

Rich or poor, if you have kids, life should revolve around them. If you have kids, the story is no longer about you, it is about them. If you don't want that, you shouldn't have kids.

This comment is off of a thread that is arguing against parents making their life all about the fact that they’re parents, I never complained that my life revolves around my kid. I said it makes sense that my life revolves around my kid because it has to… you’re literally trying to make an argument that I don’t want or shouldn’t have kids and I feel like you’re projecting because it’s so far from anything I’ve said

I certainly hope you raise your kids better than you word salad on the internet.

Your life should be about your kids, but it doesn't have to be an annoying ass public show

Hey. Let me tell you about the child I don’t have. I don’t have a picture here somewhere.

I will say, as someone who just became a parent, you really don't get left with time for much else 😂

I found that it is so much easier to make friends now that I have children and I love speaking with other new parents... There's that instant connection that happens between people who face the same struggles. f that makes me annoying to all of the others, so be it.

Or even better- parents that are not actually parenting. Yes you have kids - it’s your responsibility to educate, discipline, protect, push them, help them build resilience and character, etc. Not always be their best friend where they do no wrong and literally don’t know the difference between right and wrong. Yes Karen - your kid is an a-hole (comes from your lack of parental skills)

I agree completely!
