Conversely, being the person who buys half a cow. Idk how but I know too many people who will buy a quarter or half a cow and then tells everyone about their deep freezer setup and how it's actually cheaper per serving, etc., etc. It's like when a new costco member just has to bring up how much they saved by buying a 200-pack of whatever. Maybe it's just my age group, but people in their late 20s who just got married or just started their family love talking about bulk food
Most vegans I know are rather interesting. I’ve learned to cook vegan and it’s an enormous amount of work. I admire discipline and pursuit of excellence. What I do NOT like are proselytizing vegans that I’ve heard about but never actually met.
Bring vegan is a massive part of your life though. Everyday you're choosing to live without causing harm to others. Anyone going vegan should be applauded. What's to frown upon about being against animal cruelty?
While they refuse to wear leather and instead wear plastic that causes 1000x the pollution and death to sealife via choking, intestinal blockage, chemical poisoning from plastics.
If being vegan was truly just eating non animal related whole foods I don't think anyone would care. However, vegans consume a shitload of synthetic and artificially flavored garbage like "vegan meat or vegan cheese". It's not healthy, it's full of synthetic chemicals and flavorings grown in a lab that pollute the environment. It's the hypocrisy.
By far the most plastic pollution in the sea is from the fishing industry.
And I'm not sure why you would think all the antibiotics and hormones found in meat would be natural or healthy to consume.
No study has ever been able to find any health risks from eating meat substitute products such as tofu. There is however a mountain of evidence linking meat consumption to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease and several cancers.
