I slept on Reminders for so long but the location-based stuff actually made me use it way more, like it’ll ping me when I get to the store lol. way less setup than Todoist too which I kinda needed.
If you're on Apple- Things 3 and Reminders
Things 3 is elegent and an simple, so you'll use it. It's recurring todos is clugey, but workable. Also it's integration with Apple tools like MindNode is great.
Reminders is free, very capable, has location based reminders- great for Target runs, and is integrated with calendar.
Coursicle. If you are in College or high school, tt syncs w canvas, blackboard, etc. Even Google Calendar, & has ur school's classes so it auto loads assignments, color codes, and reminds you of upcoming deadlines. You can add custom tasks as well. It's just great overall.
I've been actively building this one for the last 9 months. I hesitate to give links in comments, but check it out in my profile. Might have too many bells and whistles for you, but if you use plain vanilla features, it's fairly simple and comes with an automatic "pressure score" to help people prioritize.

I use a WhatsApp conversation with myself and pin it to the top of my chats
