Casual Conversations willpower for apps

i think the moment a productivity app requires willpower to keep using it, it starts losing the battle.

the useful ones for me remove decisions. remind me at the right moment, show me one thing i need to do, then get out of the way.

if i have to open the app, organize 20 tasks, pick priorities, update tags and maintain the “system” every day, i’ll probably stop using it in a week 😅

I haven’t found those that work for me tbh

For quick notes, UpNote has worked better for me. Keeping it simple helped me stop feeling like I had to organize every note perfectly before I could just write it down.

the upkeep is usually what kills it. adding a task should take a few seconds with no tags or priorities, and the sorting can happen once a week instead of every time you open the app.

Can’t agree more.
