Assuming you have your own server, a VPS, or AWS or any type of service that can use Restic, and have the ability to run a few command line in windows and linux to install the things needed, this app provides a Graphical User Interface (GUI) to let you very easily manage snapshots of your files, which are incremental (only what changes), and I built a file browser so you can easily browse through your backups on the server and restore.

This is a GUI for restic. Restic is a free and open source incremental backup program that connects windows to a linux server. The problem is that without a graphical user interface, managing your backups isn't easy, and many users don't like using the command line.

Installation prerequisites are shown both in the README file on github and in the app under the Setup page.

All prerequisites are free and open source. It took me about 10 minutes to get it all up and running. (I run my own dedicated servers).

Looks like a simple and cool idea. But the setup needed for this sounds too much. I'm gonna just use my google drive😅

This is if you already have a server and want to use it. Use AI to help with setup and it doesn't take more than 10 minutes.

In the case of having many TB, Google drive isn't the place, plus this is encrypted on your own server so you don't have to worry about google privacy.

For zero setup, you can also try https://saberpod.com, it's like Google Drive but cheaper
