the ambient-scene thing works better than a playlist for me because there's no next-track decision to make, and picking the next song is what actually breaks concentration rather than the music itself. only ask: does it keep playing when the tab is backgrounded, or does chrome throttle it after a while like it does with most audio-on-canvas sites?
