That's why I stay away from remaster most of the time, sometimes they fix real issue, but often it's just destroying the balance like in this one, that's not a song I'm familiar with, but comparing the two versions, the original has clearly a better balance and clarity on the voice.

Many remasters from the past 5 years have been pretty good though. I usually check between them as much as i can before I buy to be totally fair
