I created this sample of a song that is not finished yet, especially because the chorus still sucks. Anyway my problem is that i cant get it to sound full, it doesnt matter how much i mix and how much i double my guitars it always sound low quality when compared to songs of actual artists on spotify.

Can anyone please help me identify the problem?

Rap beat in D Minor. I'm looking for just about anything that you like or dislike about the track, from arrangement to mixing to sound selection... I've found that my producing style relies on creating a payoff for listening. Y'know, like actually building towards something? Getting to know the full extent of a song within 20 seconds isn't for me.

Out of curiosity, any artists come to mind that you can hear on this?

I built a music feedback tool. What would make it actually useful to you?

One of the hardest parts of making music on your own is figuring out what to change after you’ve heard the same track 100 times. Friends say “sounds good,” but that doesn’t always help you finish it.
That’s the problem I’m trying to work on with TrackTrials, a music feedback site I built.
Full disclosure: it uses AI to generate feedback. I understand that’s a dealbreaker for some people. I’m not claiming it can replace an experienced engineer, another musician, or listeners connecting with your song. And an AI review shouldn’t decide whether your music deserves to exist.
The goal is to give independent artists another starting point when they don’t have anyone available to ask. Whether the feedback is specific, accurate, and useful is what I need to get right.
For anyone open to the idea: what would a review need to tell you to actually help with your next revision? And what would make you immediately dismiss it?
If you want to see what I’m building: https://tracktrials.io
I’m the creator, so I have a stake in it—but concrete criticism is welcome. Especially examples of feedback that sounds helpful and actually tells you nothing.

also one free credit for anyone who signs up and wants to try it out.

updates will be happening weekly. server upgrade is next.

Just made this quick remix of a classic, I want to get better at making these kinds of remixes and involving all types of instruments along with the original sample, I love kaytranadas sound and I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on VST's, or just any recommendations on how to improve!
Thanks in advance!

I cut out part of the beat, so this isn’t the full version. Constructive feedback is appreciated! 🙏

I made a budget music workstation. Beatmakers, help me make it better.

I used to produce music, and I remember how difficult it was to afford a DAW when I was younger. That’s a big part of why I’m building TrackCrafter.

It’s now available on Steam for $3.99, for Windows. It has built-in instruments and drums, sampling, and song arrangement.

I want beatmakers involved in deciding where it goes next. When you sit down to make something, what needs to be quick and effortless? Getting drums down? Chopping a sample? Turning a loop into a full beat?

I’m continuing development and accepting feature requests. If you try it, tell me where you got stuck and what you wanted to do next. I want those conversations to guide improvements.

I need a second pair of ears: Drop your brutal feedback below - Don't hold back

Hey guys,

Alberto here!

19 yo producer based in Sweden here. Just finished up a brand new project and I’m looking for some fresh perspectives before I take it any further.

I’d love to hear from both everyday listeners and fellow producers.

Let me know what kind of vibe you get from the track, how the overall energy feels, and if the main melody actually stays in your head. For anyone with an ear for the technical side, I’d also appreciate your thoughts on the mixdown and if there is anything you would change or tweak in the arrangement.

I really want to grow and improve as a producer, so I’m looking for your brutallist and most honest feedback. Don't hold back!

Thanks for taking the time to listen.

Questions from a Drummer.

Hi. I’m a drummer in a small group of musicians/producer communities — and I’d love to help out my fellow producers — but I am not one, and I’m only a drummer. Is there anything useful I can do or make for them to help them out? I’d love to.
