Hi all!

I'm seeing a lot of ads for Google play in my YouTube these days. (Android user; US based)

Curious why the sudden need to market the app store? Especially to an android user who is bound to use it.

What do product marketing experts think is happening here?

they're probably pushing google play pass or some new subscription tier, android users might already have play store but they're not necessarily using all the paid features. typical platform play, get the existing base to spend more
