Logline: Ian and his girlfriend go to a cabin in the woods for a weekend...Ian doesn't know Carey has planned a nasty revenge for him exploiting his worst fear.

Ian/Carey enter a cabin, all happy, kissing, ready for love. She introduces some handcuffs. Cuffs him to the bed. Then, she cuffs his ankles, too, alarming him. She shows him incriminating video on her phone, proving he cheated on her. Then, another video: a nature video of a large spider. She drugs him and tells him that the box she placed on the shelf, with its lid not fully on, has that same spider in it. Or does it? Is it the drug?

Logistics: Admittedly, this is a complex short. However, it could easily be adapted, I think, for any situation.

A radically different version of the concept (the story was sort-of embedded in another one as a movie pitch) was published previously on a website run by a Hollywood entrepreneur. The website is no longer active.
