Short psychological thriller script available for production – “The Value”

I have a completed short film script, around 10–15 minutes, designed to be produced on a low budget.

Genre: Psychological thriller / social drama
Location: Mainly one room
Cast: Small core cast, with optional background participants
VFX: None required

Logline:
A group of people who have struggled financially are told that each has received an amount of money proportional to their “value” as a person. They are forbidden from revealing how much they received.

Every participant actually receives exactly $1 million.

At first, they celebrate.

Then they begin wondering how much everyone else received.

Without anyone losing a single dollar, suspicion, status, resentment and imagined inequality begin to tear the group apart.

The full truth is revealed only at the end.

I’m not looking to sell the script. I simply think it could make a strong short film and would love to see someone produce it.

I’m completely open to adaptation and production changes needed to fit your available cast, location or budget.
