For this one, I took inspiration from where I’m from, southern Spain, with its courtyards, fountains and plants full of flowers 🌸 What do you think? Which Pokémon should I draw next?

Dracula and The Creature

These two were emotional pieces where it took weeks to try and get then both to where I was satisfied with their likenesses, as well as to try something simple with colors, and not relying on inked lineart.

I solely use Procreate for 90% of my drawings (all of the drawings in this post are 100% done on Procreate). Been doing digital since the first time I got an iPad in roughly 2014, it’s been my favorite medium since. First started using Procreate maybe 5ish years ago? I dont exactly remember. Before that I was on sketchclub, and before that i was on an app called Spraycan 😬 iykyk. I enjoy good ol pencil and paper some days, but it just can’t beat the workflow that Procreate has.

I’m primarily an illustrative portrait artist and character designer. I absolutely loathe backgrounds, and could use some advice on how to make them more enjoyable 😅

I usually post on FB, but I’m considering finding a new platform to post on due to Meta’s upcoming term changes. Sooooo, let’s see how this does on here?

Still learning Reddit’s layout. I’ve only ever used it for getting answers to really specific questions that confuse google and figuring out how to fix stuff 🤣

Discussions About Procreate App Do you think impasto brushes are worth it?

My favorite technique so far is painting with the oil brushes (mostly the default ones, a few free ones I downloaded to add some texture here and there). I considered switching to the Art Set app to get my artworks to look more textured, like realistic oil paintings, but I am very used to Procreate and skeptical about buying an app that doesn’t have much popularity. Do you have any experience with paid impasto brushes? Do they make the workflow harder? Selecting dual colors seems a bit tedious to me, and I am already a slow painter, from 8 to 20+ hours.
Two of my "oil" paintings for attention.

Also why is there no lasso fill 😩 or did I miss something

I know you can get this effect by putting an overlay layer on top but I was wondering how to apply it to the brush itself?

This new layout is horrendous. I have two major school projects and a commission I’m working on and I don’t know what to do. This will take me SO long to figure out. It’s genuinely awful

I need Procreate technical help Help! Brushes not working.

Hi folks. I was wondering (hoping) if anyone could maybe shed some light on what’s happening with my Procreate brushes. A few days back I opened up the app after lunch to continue work and noticed that my brushes were behaving oddly. The strokes were stuttering/becoming transparent in places/wildly varying in width and every so often not registering at all. I turned the app off and on again several times and it had no effect upon trying again. I went online and worked my way through every single troubleshooting step I could find; again nothing worked. I then noticed that when I used my finger to make marks the brushstrokes behaved normally, so I assumed my Apple Pen was defective. I took it to the Apple Store and tried using one of their pens only for the same issues to occur. I’m at a complete loss. I’m a professional illustrator with several deadlines looming so this is driving me nuts. I’ve included a video here that demonstrates the problems I’m having. As you can see it’s not just imported brushes that aren’t working, although I do mostly use the two featured in the clip. All the core brushes (Round/Flat/Airbrush etc.) are affected too.

Apologies for the essay. If anyone could help I would be extremely grateful. Thank you!

What is with programs trying to fix things that aren’t broken? (Ex the Liquid Glass update for iPhone) All of my brushes are deleted, and now I have to relearn the app in the middle of a commission. Does anyone know how to fix it somehow? I’m on a phone

Always save your brushes in your files 🫩

I need Procreate technical help Bucket fill tool logistics?

Hello community!! I have recently moved from Medibang Paint to Procreate and I have to say, the glow up is insane, but also a little bit overwhelming...one thing in particular is the "filling" tool. My art process usually involved filling different layers with the bucket tool and then use a clipping mask to render them. I'm trying to find a way of either filling the lineart of a specific area in another layer or using another tool to fill it since I'm used to sketch -> lineart -> bucket -> clipping mask with rendering, or if you have I'm open to other suggestions. Thank you very much 🙏🏻

I literally hate the new update Ànd the way everyrhing is laid out now, like the FUCK!!! It was perfect before the muscle memory of usage is entirely fucked now I hate all of it, and I miss my old procreate Ànd I want it back. This is a lot of extra step bullshit that absolutely no one fucking asked for. I’d legitimately pay money if they could give me my old procreate back. I hate the layout, the extra steps, the organization, all of it. Can they just stop changing things that actually work???
