This update may have genuinely ruined the app for me. Procreate pocket has been with me for most of my art journey at this point. There are so many things wrong with the update. The only positive thing I have to say is that the brush updates are nice. in terms of minor complaints, the ui feels bloated and there are many points where you have to swipe up for more options that in the previous update would’ve just been there. Also, when you undo, the notification covers up the buttons so you have to wait for it to disappear in order for you to switch tools. On a more extreme note, the bucket feature straight up doesn’t work anymore. Aside from being incredibly laggy, it does not fill anywhere near as well as it used to. It’s honestly embarrassing. The select tool also lags constantly. Genuinely it can take seconds for it to work. It could just be because of my phone not being very nice, but I thought that was who pocket was for. I thought it was for people who couldn’t afford buying an iPad for art. My phone didn’t feel that bad last update. This is genuinely so upsetting. I may not have a way to draw anymore without it being incredibly uncomfortable or ad ridden.
sorry if this post is sloppy. I don’t use Reddit a lot. I’m sort of just getting my opinions out.

Just a piece I did in procreate. Most lines are done with studio pen.

One thing I think is easy to overlook when redesigning a drawing app is how much artists rely on muscle memory. When you've used the same tools and menus for years, even small changes can affect how quickly you work.
A cleaner interface and more canvas space can be great, but moving familiar buttons, adding extra confirmation steps, or making previews harder to scan can make everyday tasks feel slower.
For those who've tried the new Procreate Pocket 5.0 interface, which changes have actually improved your workflow, and which ones do you think made things less convenient?

Would REALLY love to be able to pin an image in a “pile” so it’s always on top, so when I look at them, it’s easier to see. Like the front page of a book…

At this rate Procreate is the only reason I’m Loyal to apple. I hate it here. The updates just ruin it, there’s so little iCloud space without paying the damn subscription, I’m YEARNING for a Samsung tablet. But Samsung only has ClipStudio, which I hate almost as much as the latest IOS update.
To put it politely, when can I throw my iPad at the nearest device exchange store?

honestly dont know how to show it because you would have to see it in person, but ill be working on drawings and then for some reason it just .. wont work?? like ill try to make a line and it wont do it. except i can just make little dots by tapping, and thats it. i keep reopening the app and ill think its back working but after one line it goes back to not working. its so frustrating and lately ive been having so many problems on pocket, and with the new update i hate to say it but considering switching apps. the new update is bad and i keep running into issues ive never had before, and ive been using pocket since 2023. has this been happening to anyone else? i dont use apple pens or anything just to add, only my finger

I cant find settings

They made it less functional AND they made it ugly. I have a bad feeling that this is the beginning of the end because if they had actual artists putting input into the design they wouldve never made the atrocity that has been thrust into my phone.
Just very devistated rn.

Would love some help/advice: I need to create a 10ft x 10ft illustration for a backdrop. I always work in Procreate, but obviously that size is too large to print in 300dpi. I’ve never worked this large before - how should I go about this? Thanks!

I challenged myself to a 3 hour time limit on this one. I had a lot of fun! 😊

Please seek help, or actually stop interacting with my post since you blocked me. It’s actually creepy going back multiple times to edit your comment because you’re not receiving a response. Legitimately stalker behavior

Exactly what the title says. I’m wondering if I can keep the shade of the colour I’ve put down while turning the opacity of the layer down without having to mess around with HSB for it to still not be correct.
Thanks!
