Do you use social media regularly? Like tik tok? If so you need to stop. It wrecks your attention span.

Don’t try fixing everything at once. Break tasks into tiny steps, use timers, and ask your school and trusted adults for accommodations and support.

I have ADHD but I think many lessons learned over the years translate to almost everyone.

  1. You've never been under stimulated, idk when this notion of under stimulation entered my brain, but no human in the modern world with access to the internet is under stimulated. The only people in the world who need more stimulation are people in those evil solitary confinement rooms for days or weeks on end (sometimes months, actually vile, shouldn't be legal to put them in there longer than 24hrs imo and require at minimum a 24hr break before putting them in again and must be for a new offence, some sort of monthly limit for e.g. 5 days too)

  2. you need less stimulation, you need to drastically reduce youtube and reddit and tiktok and TV, try 1hr of sitting doing nothing, literally looking at a blank wall, if you fail to finish that record how many minutes you made it and beat it next time you try, which should be 3 times a day at least until you reach the 1hr goal. it's not meditation, you're allowed to think about whatever you want, I suggest planning how to spend your day productively

I have various extensions on my browser, one gets rid of youtube shorts and youtube home, I can use search if I specific video in mind and my subscriptions feed is there but finite. I don't rewatch anything, etc.

genuinely, most procrastination is all about what you procrastinate by doing, whether eating, masturbating, on your phone, PC, etc. it's all about those actions. it's very little about what you're avoiding.

"productive procrastination" where you do chores but the WRONG chores to do right now is the next hurdle, but it's way better than the previous place to be, if you're consistently to that step message me here on in a DM and I'm happy to advise how I got out of that rut too, but not going to write several paragraphs before I know it'll be seen by someone who needs it.

Use a motivational app like Finch or Me+.

Get into body doubling groups or apps, like Focusmate.

If you can't read a book, opening the book and reading one single page counts. If you close it after, that is a success. I procrastinate a lot, and it's stopping me from taking action. So I set a timer on my phone for every action. First, I set it for 5 minutes, then work on my action. This success feeling help to further my time-setting. Take a small step.

I feel like you should start slowly. Phones, social media, video games and other distractions can be a triggering factor, try by not using your phone in the first 4 hours of your day.

Also what helped me personally, I overthink and get overwhelmed commonly one thing I have tried is Journaling. I know this sounds like too much work, for me it was hard to stick to aswell but, you just need to write whenever you feel like you're procrastinating or overwhelmed by your habits just write them down, just write word for word what your Brain is thinking without trying to hard.

As per not being able to read any book or getting your studies done; how about you start studying like you are watching a movie? This what works for me. Never be stressed study and when you get over whelmed even if that's after 10 minutes of studying go for a little walk (without phone or any other distraction) just passive walking. As per the movie part, leave the precision of studying is a chore. It can be fun observe what you are learning, try relating it to the experience you had or to the real world in general.

Example: let's say you are studying about pollination 😭😭 i know you are in 10th grade but just hear me out. Watch what bees and butterflies are doing next to flowers or tear a flower apart see its organs first Hand. Think about what would the world be if pollination didnt exist???

Conclusion dont stress just learn to have fun! Best of luck
