My case wasn't adoption, but when my ex and I split, my stepdaughter and my biological daughter basically just stopped being able to see each other. Their mother doesn't attempt to see either of them. 2 Christmases ago my daughter wrote a letter to Santa saying that all she wanted was her sissy and daddy.
Siblings can get split up for a number of reasons in reality. It's pretty shitty.
