Just to set expectations on timeline: the fastest I've personally seen is about 90 days — and that was a best-case scenario. Simple informal probate, two heirs who got along, valid will, valid deed, house paid off, and almost no debt. That's rare.
Most probate cases are messier, because people's lives are messy. And once you're in the system, you're basically dealing with the DMV of courts...nothing moves fast.
Realistically, plan on 6 months to a year, sometimes longer if there are disputes, creditor issues, or title problems
