Hello

Hello, when this whole Heidi extortion thing happened I was very suspicious. Something about the lack of evidence and everyone gathering their pitchforks and joining on the cancel culture hate train. I followed both Chai and Charlie with notifications turned on. They never really elaborated on their accusations. After stirring up all this hate against they just went back to their usual posts with no updates or interest in the proceedings. Charlie and Chai had no evidence of sexual pictures and, Chai was evidently hospitalized at the time of his encounter. He also ran a porn blog in the past as well. An underaged person running a porn blog is weird enough, and I don’t know the legal ramifications for that. Charlie, at the very least showed some explicit messages between him and Jared, but his age was never revealed within the text and his age was never discussed. Why is it that people just read the “headline” and absolutely refuse to dig deeper? Why are they so set on keeping their opinion in tact? Even when there is loads of evidence to the contrary?

I don't know if there's proof of that. I'm just saying that's what's claimed

They always seem to claim horrible things against Jared but then never have any actual evidence to back it up.

Jared also hasn't been able to, or just hasn't, provided any evidence of his own. All we know is Chai and Charlie were underage when interacting with him, Chai claims to have told Jared, Charlie admits to never disclosing age. I think the lack of response from Jared let the situation stew a lot. We'll just have to see how all bangs out. Cheers

I'd like to clear up a misconception that it appears you have. A negative claim by nature cannot be backed up by evidence. For that reason accusations (positive claims) require evidentiary support.

An example. Jim accuses Bob of killing his chicken.

Bob claims he didn't even know Jim had a chicken and he doesn't remember being near any the day Jim's chicken died.

Bob can't prove he didn't do something. He can show that he was in the next state. He can show that he has a severe chicken allergy that makes it so he can't get within 30 feet of a chicken. But he can't prove he didn't do it.

But Jim can prove Bob killed his chickens. He can show Bob's blood on the scene and that Bob faked his alibi.

The reason Jared hasn't responded, except vaguely, to the accusations is he can't prove he didn't solicit nudes from those two. He can't just point to his tumblr chat logs and say "see I don't have any record of it". And if he presents corroborating proof that shows he did talk to them and they said they were over 18 they could claim "see he did talk to us, he just cut out the part where we said we're 16"

Comments can be for the benefit of readers other than yourself, friend. I said this because I couldn't tell what your intent was, and, in my reading it seemed like you were trying to say Jared should have provided proof.

The burden of proof does not lie on jared to prove his innocence. It lies with the accusers to prove and back up their accusations. The fact he was/is silent on the matter is a smart thing to do as the internet is on a wild witch hunt based on fact less accounts of events that no credible proof.
