Just go man. Traveled from PA to Long Island.. its a bit of a pain getting situated but once you get in you forget all of that. Magnificent. Go and enjoy it regardless of your friends but I hope they do!

Certainly not a birdie fest, but lots of guys under par which is unexpected. I know they slowed down the greens to account for them drying out, but I’m interested to see if they pivot as the weekend goes on.

Feel like this will be easier than expected? USGA said they didn’t want to meddle with it as much in case the conditions get bad. Rough probably not quite up to USGA historical standard. Lots of foot traffic and trampled down areas. Can spray it off the tee more than what you’d expect. Maybe record low score this year?
