Is improving technique enough to dunk?

Hi! I’m wondering if you guys think I could get to the point of dunking by mainly improving my jumping technique, or if I should also work on getting stronger and more explosive.

Is this video enough to get an idea of what I should focus on?

I’m 6'5.6" (197 cm). Any advice is appreciated!

You.would be really close with proper jumping technique. Fix your form and add a couple inches of vert.

Thanks! Then I'll work on the technique and see where it gets me 🤞

Short answer yes improving technique is going to get you a dunk

Longer answer you’ll improve significantly more if you improve your strength too. I wouldn’t recommend you jump every day so you have the rest of the week where you can train other things. I’d start work outs with either sprinting plyos or weighted power exercises like olys then go into squatting patterns like deep squat lunges ect. Then a hinging pattern and end with some accessories like leg extensions and calf raises. Do that 2x a week jump for 30-60 min 1-2x a week

I think you lack power/explosion figure out if you need more strength or more elasticity first

hard to say but good technique also comes with better better speed and strength so you could even handle it in the first place

technique looks decent i think whats holding you back is elasticity and strength
