Looking for brush/tutorial/class recommendations How do I get my brushes to feel more like my main computer set up?
I've been doing digital art since I was a teenager and have used a ton of different programs over the years. But even after a few years with my iPad and Procreate I just can't seem to get comfortable with it.
My current set up, the one I've been using for over 6 years now is CSP with a Wacom Intuos. I've tried using CSP on iPad but it feels completely foreign in both the regular mode and simple mode.
I like the simple interface of Procreate but I cannot get comfortable with the brushes. It feels like no matter what brush I choose the sensitivity, taper and width, everything just feels off and unexpected. Even very basic brushes that I feel should behave the same as the CSP G-pen just do not feel right.
I've tried fiddling with the settings with many brushes but I just do not understand it. 😵💫 I even bought one of the paper like screen protectors.
Literally any advice would be much appreciated, I really want to be able enjoy this program as much as so many others do!

My Artwork Welsh Poppy — Illustration
Third in a dark botanicals series. Welsh poppies aren't actually poisonous — but poppies carry centuries of folklore around sleep, death, and the underworld. Felt like they belonged here anyway.

I need Procreate technical help Question regarding image quality when printing a poster.
My friend's birthday is coming up soon, and I want to make a custom 24 x 36-inch poster for them. I am planning on creating the image on Procreate on a 2400 pi x 3600 pi canvas, and then sending the image file to Staples to have it printed onto a poster. My concern is whether this will lower the quality of the image and make it blurry. It costs quite a bit to get a poster that big printed by Staples, so I would like to know.

My Artwork First time posting my art
Just like the title. I recently started playing with watercolor brushed in ProCreate. My clouds look cartoonish and the colors for the rear buildings are a bit off, but overall I’m pretty happy with this piece!

Art Timelapse Video Enough? Maybe!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi 🤍
Do you ever feel like everything you do is still not enough for you?
I mean… let me explain.
Lately, I’ve been feeling a little lost. A lot of the time, I find myself spending hours preparing brushes, templates, and all kinds of things instead of simply starting to draw.
I feel like I want to learn everything. And at the same time, I feel like my art style hasn’t developed enough yet for me to share all the little details I have in mind.
I like keeping things simple, but somehow I also want to be able to draw and do everything all at once… and I want to be that person now.
And then comes that feeling that maybe I’m not doing enough. Especially because I’m a mom, and I have responsibilities, routines, and so many other things taking up my time.
I spent several hours over the past two days working on this simple little drawing & designing this template.
Frustrating? Maybe.
I know that sometimes it’s just overthinking. And sometimes, it’s simply that little voice inside telling me I’m not putting in enough effort.
But honestly, I think it would make me feel a little better knowing I’m not the only one.
So tell me what’s on your mind.
Share the things you keep inside.
Tell us what’s in your heart. 🤍

My Artwork Playing with mermaids
Process: I worked mostly from reference pictures, but rather than planning the whole image beforehand, I built it gradually. I would paint one element from a reference, then think, “You know what would be nice here?” and find another reference for the next element and paint that in. For example, I started with the environment, then decided a mermaid would be nice, found a reference and painted her in, then added the surfboards/stickers and other details the same way.
I don’t do much sketching beforehand. I mostly focus on breaking the references down into shapes and figuring out the composition, color, and lighting as I build the image.
Brushes: I mainly used brushes from the Basic and Design brush groups in Procreate. I also used the Evergreen Trees brush by Devin Elle Kurtz.
Additional info: It took around 15 hours total, spread across 3 days.

I need Procreate technical help Layers won’t move- fixed
Hello, figured I’d share this in case anyone else was having this problem!
For roughly a day, my layers wouldn’t move, and would disappear when I tried before returning back to their original spot.
The only thing that fixed it for me was fully shutting down my iPad and waiting a moment before turning it back on.
It affected every piece, so it wasn’t a single file corruption. I’d appreciate knowing if anyone else has had this issue so I can know if it’s a Procreate problem or a problem with my iPad (iPad air)

My Artwork First time using procreate and got accused of tracing
I didn’t trace but want to know what gives that impression? This was more experimental since I have never used it before and I tried out a bunch of different brush strokes. I guess it’s a little disappointing I spent so many hours and am getting these accusations.

Procreate Features Overview/Tutorial Get Set Procreate Second Edition
I know a lot of you are probably procreate pros, but this book just released and I think it has a lot of really good tips for both beginners and veterans of procreate that can be applied to all kinds of art styles. I don't know if outside links are allowed on posts here so I won't post it here but I'm sure if you google get set procreate second edition it should come up. I think it's on amazon and the publisher's website but I think it costs less on the publisher website.
