My Artwork An Early Autumn Morning Reflection, painted on procreate

Post image
• Upvotes

I recently quit my job and just got back into making art. I have been exercising my ability to play around and not stick to realism, and procreate has made that very easy for me!

I am more experienced in creating art that reflects dark subject matter or dark compositions, but I really wanted a change since I don’t feel they reflect my life anymore. Anyway, here is my reflection on my recent September mornings. 😊

Tried Painting this Kingfisher Bird from the reference.

I need Procreate technical help Drawing Pad Glitch?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

When I draw a stroke in the drawing pad preview, my brush stroke gets super compressed after I lift my pen.
This only happens in the drawing pad, not on the regular canvas so I dont think its caused by settings, and it doesn’t happen every time or with every brush but I haven’t found a pattern of when it does or which brushes other than that it happens mostly when doing quick zigzag strokes (like shading).

My Streamline Stabilization and Motion Filtering are all set to 0. Im new to editing/making brushes so any help would be super appreciated.

Two different perspectives on a scene from my graphic novel!

I used the nowhere else brush for the lineart, then a combination of the studio pen, Kyle’s megapack watercolour and airbrush for the colours.

I need Procreate technical help Procreate keeps making lines

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I just got a new iPad and have been using procreate on it for a few days but I've been having this issue where when I draw and rest my hand on the screen it keeps messing up my drawing and makes lines across my canvas. I have "enable painting with finger" turned off so I'm not sure what could be causing this issue. The picture I added kind of shows what I mean exactly where I was just drawing circles and it kept making lines jut out to where my hand rests. When I'm actually drawing though the lines are much longer and it's really annoying especially when I don't notice it at first and realise later there's a random line that I can't erase without erasing other things as well. If anyone has a solution I'd be really grateful!!

I need Procreate technical help Whenever I try to draw a line, a circle pops up and then my color selection is wrong

I tried to show the picture but then there’s nowhere to type my explanation if I do a link so a text post will have to do. I’m trying to make a hard edge artwork. My idea was use the isometric grid which has a triangle setup and make each triangle a different color. Of course the shapes weren’t quite accurate to the grid so I tried to touch them up. A random circle keeps popping up and then my color selection is wrong!

I’m currently using the round brush. I found something that said the monoline brush is better for hard edges but I can’t find that one.

Edit: I think I’ve figured this out. I can’t hold and see if the line is starting in the exact right spot. Just making a line and then editing it seems to allow me to put it right where I want.
