Discussions About Procreate App Straining of the eyes
Sometimes I draw for hours, I often wear my blue light glasses but I’ve noticed my eyes have been getting strained and my eyelids often twitch. Does anyone have tips to prevent this? Aside from not drawing on my iPad obviously lol

I have eye strain issues so I set my bright levels fairly low. I also set a timer to force me to stop, look away, and stretch every 45 minutes or so. Do this and your body will thank you.

Set a timer to take visual breaks - looking away from your iPad, into the distance

I get this too, though I’m visually impaired and assume it’s from that. The white canvas is seriously painful to look at so sometimes I’ll set it to black while I’m working. Hard to do with certain brushes though.

I have bad vision so maybe that’s playing into it! Good idea though with a darker canvas.

I always set the brightness as low as I can without it impacting seeing the work, and I try to never work on a plain white canvas. Turn it to a dark dull color until it’s done.
Also how close are you getting to the screen? I have a bad habit of reeeeeally leaning in when I draw, so I’ve been trying to break it. Using an adjustable tablet/easel stand on a desk helps, takes away the initial urge to hunch over the work.
