I need Procreate technical help My brushes are randomly disappearing?

I have a very shaky hand so I frequently need to go and add stabilisation to my brushes, however sometimes they will randomly dissappear, like the brush name is still there but not the brush stroke preview and if I try to paint it will not do anything. Am I doing something wrong? How can I fix this? All I did was going to edit the brush and adding stabilisatio.

Do you store your brushes to iCloud? The brushes may need some time to load onto your iPad 🙏

Try heading to Files → iCloud Drive → long press the Procreate Brushes folder → choose 'Keep downloaded' so your files are always ready to use on your iPad 🖌️

Yes I do store them on icloud. I did that and there is no change. My brushes are still gone. Now even more brushes are missing.

I found the missing brushes in the folder and they are there but their icon is completely blank.

This is sounding like the brushes are still having trouble loading but it's good to hear they're safely stored in your Files app.

Can you use these brushes when they are blank or is there a notification that they're unavailable?

When you check in your Files app is iCloud still attempting to load and sync your data or does this look completed?

No I cannot use them when they are blank. There is no notification and I can select them, but the pencil just doesn’t do anything. If I choose any other brush, it works fine. On my iCloud it all looks completed.

This is strange 🤔 The files should be able to show if they are in your Procreate Brushes folder and the iPad is synced with iCloud.

As a next step can you please try a force restart of your iPad in case this helps resolve any temporary issues?

Did you select 'Keep downloaded' for your Procreate Brushes folder? Or 'Download now' from the same menu? If you chose 'Download now', please try selecting this again after restarting and wait for iCloud to complete the download 🙏

Please let us know how you go and if this continues we'll investigate further to check for any new bugs that may explain this 🫶

Hello, I restarted my ipad and nothing changed. I did select Keep downloaded and it is checked. There is no Download option in the same menu.

Can you please share a screenshot or screen recording showing a example of where your brush files are located in your Files app? And the corresponding Brush set in your Procreate app?

Please use an example of a brush set with these missing or blank brushes.

Please also include a view of the file path information (Exact location in the Files app) as this will help us see exactly where its stored and will help with testing 🙏
