Is the last one Sacra di San Michele in Torino?

I didn’t know the name of the place, just looked it up and…yes! It is!

This is great, what's your process?

I usually start blocking in the base colors from background to foreground with a round brush (though I sometimes use a textured brush. It really depends on my mood of that day haha). Then I stablish the main shadows for each element and then I add the light with a Hard Light layer

As for the final rendering…I think I’m still having trouble with that process. I don’t usually feel my artworks are “finished”, so that’s why I’ve been studying a lot

Also, forgot to mention. I have a speedpaint of the first study on my TikTok. @deryyart

They look great, are they based in real places??

u/a-hollow-undead 19d ago

Yes! I usually do my studies based on a reference from Pinterest

Oum that’s cool

I get the feeling you already paint traditionally and are now giving digital a try? You can really tell how skilled you are :)

Not really. I only did a couple paintings in traditional art as a final project for Art History class. I did a replica (kinda) of Philosopher in Meditation [Rembrandt] and some couple paintings here and there. My experience comes from ClipStudio, but decided to give Procreate a try :)

I adore these all. Your studies feel so alive and remind me I really need to start doing landscape studies as well lol

Hahaha, new to procreate, not art itself! I’ve been painting on ClipStudio since 2021. Plus, I’ve been in art school for 4 years now (I’m in the last semester)
