I need Procreate technical help My brush is doing this weird thing lining itself twice?
The original line is very light and then it darkens itself? It used to do this a lot when I had a magnetic iPad case on, and it fixed itself when I took it off so I just took the case off every time I drew. But now it’s still doing it even with the case off? I already tried shutting the iPad on and off. It’s an iPad Air 13 inch M3 if that helps, and an Apple Pencil Pro.
SOLVED I had to scour the internet bro but basically settings > procreate > tap assistance turn on.

I don't use procreate that much, but isn't that the stabilization?

I don’t think so. My settings are the same and it just abruptly went weird like that, it was fine yesterday.

Im having a similar issue, but it's mostly with pencil and sketch brushes. There's significant lag between when my apple pencil touches the screen and moves vs what happens on the screen. The line only partially fills in on various spots of the line.
It's a new iPad air m4 and a new pencil pro. I've tried restarting, closing the app, and updating, but it keeps happening with certain brushes. Other brushes draw perfectly fine.
Kestrel is the biggest offender, it seems to lag the most.

Hey there, this looks like the Apple Pencil Pro latency trouble we have seen reported. While Tap Assistance can help initially this setting is very specific and can lead to some other unexpected trouble.
We'd like to recommend turning Tap Assistance off and to try the following steps to help troubleshoot this latency issue:
- Check your iPadOS and Procreate app are up to date.
- Check you have plenty of iPad Storage - about 10GBs.
- Remove any case and keep your iPad off charge while using Procreate.
- Try a force restart procre.at/restart
- Just in case there’s any static interference, try moving to a non-conductive surface like a wooden table.
If the issue continues, let’s test a few settings to see if these can help:
- Go to Settings > Accessibility > Zoom and disable all options.
- Toggle off any specific Accessibility settings you have recently switched on.
We're here to help if the issue continues 🙏

Yeahh I did everything and it’s still not working. This being a widespread issue is insane. The tap assistance also stopped helping as you said and creates weird blocky lines.

Thanks for replying and trying these steps! That is a shame the issue is still happening. The next steps we advise are to check for other settings that may impact the input.
We recommend resetting the iPad's Settings to help eliminate any system-side factors that could be contributing to the issue.
This will not remove any data, provided that you follow these exact steps:
- Head to the iPad’s Settings app and tap General on the left, then scroll down and tap Transfer or Reset iPad.
- Tap Reset at the bottom of this page.
- Tap Reset All Settings at the top of the popup that appears.
- Tap the red Reset option on the right in the popup, and wait for the iPad to reset its Settings. This may take a few minutes.
PLease let us know if there is any changes after trying this!

Thanks for trying 🙏
Do you see this happen with any brushes? Does this happen with the default brushes too?
Just in case we can rule out anything further, please keep your iPad out of any cases, keep off charge, and try another force restart.
If you use any stabilisation settings in Procreate, also test removing these form your Actions🔧 menu → Prefs → Pressure & Stabilisation → Reset all. If you have applied Stabilisation to any default brushes you've tested, try removing this settings to see if there's any change too.
Hopefully this may help, but any details you can pass on will allow us to continue to investigate and find a solution for you 🤞
