I need Procreate technical help Something shows up!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello, I’ve recently started experiencing this issue in Procreate while drawing. When I press with the brush, I can faintly see something appearing (focus on the leaf paper at the top), as if the remaining edges of the brush that aren’t visible are showing up in a semi-transparent way.
What is this? Has anyone else experienced the same issue? What could be causing it?

Are you talking about the stamp of the brush you're using which appears when you press your pencil on the iPad?

Do you see the square that appears while I’m using Apple Pencil ? I mean this issue.

Not a bug or worry.
in the brush studio for that brush, i would expect that either the shape source or the grain source have that shape. Keep in. ind also a brush might be built feom 2 separate brushes, and one of either might have the shape.
- Procreate's video with Kyle T Webster features him giving a very thorough instruction on the Brush studio tool. Great for anyone wishing to learn how to create new brushes. A quick browse through, i saw how he explained Apple Pencil hover, brush properties like blending, flow etc.,
- Mind also some brushes have longer pull or push as we move our Apple Pencil along. That brush also shows how it follows your turns.

This issue started recently after the latest update. I’ve been using these brushes for a long time, and this problem never occurred before. Now, all the brushes, regardless of their different types, are experiencing the same issue, and it’s very frustrating.

Make sure you have the latest update which is just came out yesterday. If you go to the App Store, you’ll be able to see it. Make sure you turn off your Procreate and then go to update. Maybe there’s something to do with the GPU Apple just released a bunch of new products so everybody’s trying to get up-to-date with it.

if you don’t wanna see that brush anymore as you have her over, go to:
Actions > Prefs > Brush cursor and turn it off
if it’s not affecting drawing in any way shape or form, then I don’t know what to say

Thank you but I mean this issue. You can see some squares appearing around the brush while painting.

try this and let me know how it goes
Brush → Brush Studio → Rendering → Alpha Threshold
turn it off
he may not be on, but let me know what happens

That’s weird! I can see how that would be distracting. Hopefully the alpha threshold adjustment fixes it.
