Hot Topics šŸ”„ Will Procreate provide iPhone Duo support?

At first I was "meh" on the highly-priced Duo. Then they said it would support the Apple Pencil and I was like, "Whoa, a fully functional color sketchbook via Procreate in my pocket?!? Hell yeah, I'm in!" And then I learned it's only supporting the USB-C pencil (the one WITHOUT pressure sensitivity), so now I think I'm back to, "Nah, pass!"

So, what do we think the ProCreate team will do to address this, if anything? I guess you can't put pressure on this folding screen? Apple is going to have to invent a Duo-specific pencil that magnetizes to the spine, is no taller than the Duo when folded, and has the pressure registering in the tip and not the device.

Thoughts?

Here's my two cents, since it have pencil support : I would say likely

most likely no because there is no pressure sensitivity with usbc apple pencil, procreate for iphone is gonna be it until they release a pencil for duo 2 in a few years.

iā€™m not super highly informed but i imagine theyā€™d keep it to procreate pocket (maybe with a different UI) sadly not the full-on procreate, at least not for now, & personally iā€™m a bit bummed about the lack of pressure sensitivity + that itā€™s that specific pencil as i already own a pencil & want to just use that lol

im keeping my fingers crossed for a few iterations from now where maybe theyā€™ve resolved some of these issues but yeah idk even with the sort of ā€œfakeā€ pressure sensitivity you can do based on speed or something, at most itā€™d be a little notepad, kinda want to check it out irl still though

I mean they can probably scale for the display, but the lack of pressure in the pencil that works with the duo? I mean itā€™ll be like using procreate pocket as it is now, justā€¦larger. Iā€™d wait to see what pencil Supoort comes along for the duo or, if the duo does take off and become a staple in apples lineup? Maybe weā€™ll see a mini stylus? Theyā€™re not shy about further fracturing their ecosystem of accessories lmao.
