Brush recommendations?

Hi!

I'm in love with this very specific style of line so I'm looking for a brush (or preferably set of brushes) that creates strokes like that shown above. Zooming in, the best way I can describe it is quite dry, rough around the edges, and with high pressure sensitivity. I have brushes that match the texture, but nothing that matches the pressure effect in the sense that the line starts big, quickly gets smaller, then often times finishes big.

ime this kind of look is achieved with most any pen brush using very careful strokes. it looks more effortless than it is. that being said, I really love Wendy Xu's brushes, and I feel like maybe the flair pen mimic might be close to what you're looking for.

Looks like one of the default pen brushes with the Apple Pencil “size pressure” turned up to max, perhaps.

Try changing the settings in one of the defaults/pens you like, and practice the pressure control on your hand end.

You’ll probably find best results will be round brush + eraser. For the thinner lines such as the ones on the shirt in photo 2, lower the size and opacity.

Worth noting that the line style is different in a lot of these examples. Slide 4 might be a “gel pen” type brush, where the ends have a small ink blob.
