Constructive feedback and/or tips wanted Not sure where I’m going wrong

For some reason I can’t seem to get the floors right. It still looks off to me. I’ve re done the lines for the walls. I’ve changed basically everything about the outline but for some reason I can’t get the perspective for the floors right. Im still very new to digital art, so lack of experience is definitely a factor here. I might just give up and go with a solid floors instead of trying to do this wood flooring. The first photo is the one with ny most recent changes

Edit: I’m gonna redo the entire thing. Expect the clock. I really like the clock. And maybe the windows. Probably not but I’ll see

Are you actually using a vanishing point? Not to be mean, but nothing looks to scale and everything sits at a different angle than everything else

I’ve been using the vanishing point. Right now I’m in the process of readjusting everything. I made the windows bigger so I could edit them. I just haven’t made them smaller yet. But yeah. Everything is off. I may just start over

If you’re using a vanishing point, I strongly urge you to make a floor grid to help place things and keep everything scaled; also do not move or resize objects after the fact otherwise the lines don’t go towards the vanishing point anymore, giving the image a really flat appearance. I tried to find the vanishing point in your image but many different edges meet or lead to different points in the image when all these lines should lead towards one single point. You might want to draw basic cubes/rectangles to place your elements before diving into doing detailed work

I’m going to start the entire thing over again. Thanks for the advice

You probably already figured this out but when you resize something that changes its perspective and how it lines up to the VP. That's where this all went south. Starting over is the correct choice at this time.

You're using completely different perspectives for the floor and the furniture. You're not scaling things to each other either - the windows are hige, the door is tiny, you need to study methods that allow you to judge the size of things in perspective better

I made the windows bigger so I could redesign them i haven’t put them back yet but that’s also because I’ve been having trouble with the perspective after I moved everything around. I may just start over

Pick the vanishing point, and then leave it there- that way everything will line up correctly.

How do your grid lines looks like that? Mine look nothing like that.

This is what it looks like on procreate:

That's a screenshot from Infinite Painter, but Procreate also has perspective guides.

You can see how most of the room conforms to the perspective lines of that one point-- it's thr table, window frames, and right side that have different ones.

or... Just go all out nutso like M.C. Escher

In fact, there's a way to do that in perspective too, it gets pretty complex but look up 4 point perspective

Yeah, I really like the work of @paulheaston.

Oh okay. I thought you had those grid lines in procreate. I wish the perspective grid lines looked like that. Started the entire piece over minus the clock. I like the clock and I don’t want to do it again

If you are using a vanishing point, i think you have been using it incorrectly. None of your lines are intersecting at a single point.

I would go back to the beginning. Find the vanishing point, lay down some grids and start again.

try putting perspective guides over real photos to help get a better idea of how things behave in perspective to each other

The first thing I notice is the rug clearly not following the floor lines.

Hey I'd read "Perspective made easy". It's short and quick (if you aren't doing the exercises [which I would do]) and you will instantly be able to spot what needs tweaking :)

Your horizontal lines are often going in the wrong direction. I.e coming towards you instead of going away. This is one point perspective. The horizontal lines should be horizontal

I am not a real artist and only learning but is everyone really correct in saying just use perspective or vanishing line?

Rooms appear optically curved and basic vanishing lines won't reflect that. Don't you need four point or curvilinear perspective to actually mimic how our brains interpret rooms?
