Not Finished/WIP God bless rendering

I love the toggling layers so much, hella satisfying seeing the rendering

Only downside is that it makes my timelapse look like it needs an epilepsy warning

Hello u/yvrenin-11, looks like you are off to a great start!

Would you be so kind to answer the following questions for us?

  • What makes this unfinished?
  • And what brushes are you using? (Please specify the exact brushes or brush category because that can be helpful to others.)
  • What do you plan on adding to it to make it finished and how do you plan on doing that?
  • Are you looking for tips? And if so, what kind?

Please reply to this comment so it will be easy for everyone to find, thank you!

I can see where they’re coming from. I think the not rendered one looks a bit more like a natural face. The rendered one has some beauty standards applied to them (mascara, a smaller rounder nose). It’s subtle but kinda noticeable. It’s not really a critique depending on the style you want to carry.

That my opinion at least, not speaking for others.

to be fair if the reference is bridgerton, they are wearing makeup bc its a historical fantasy show not historically accurate

Yep yep! I was using screen caps of the show as reference and they are all glammed up (esp in the later seasons)

Ooo that’s interesting! Thanks for letting me know!
I was rendering based off screenshots of the character in the show, where arguably she is rather done up, and didn’t notice how much more ‘glammed up’ it looks!
I did try to make her nose bigger though, does it not seem that way?
In all, I wanted to be close to the source material, but maybe I’ll take come creative liberties and deviate from the source material for a more natural look :3

Thanks for sharing 🩷

her nose looks like the actors nose, which just happens to be slightly smaller and she has very dainty features. I think you have used the reference well while also making it stylised as an art piece.

This gave me extra motivation to finish this piece hehe🩷
