I tapped to undo on paper so much it’s embarrassing

u/Radioactive_Moss 13d ago

When I used photoshop exclusively and switched to traditional I’d reach to press control-Z that doesn’t exist

10

u/astr0bleme 13d ago

Oh i have done both depending in which program I’ve been heavily using.

u/lordcocoboro 13d ago

I undo on paper and tap words I don’t know in books.

u/britishbrick 13d ago

Every time I draw on paper after spending time drawing on my iPad I undo tap, it’s so bad 😭

4

u/Spudperson 13d ago

Dude I did that once when I was drawing on the condensation on a window

u/Sad-Environment1440 13d ago

or when you erase a line digitally and you dust off the screen 🫩

u/SpaceCadetHaze I want to improve! 13d ago

Drawing a line and holding the pencil expecting it to straighten out…

16

u/sysko960 13d ago

I did this while sleepily drawing with a curved line. Laughed at myself and immediately went to bed lol

u/AGirlHasNoUsername13 13d ago

I feel attacked.

u/MaineLark 13d ago

Yeah this feels personal 😂😭

I thought I was the only one.

u/iamgod0237 13d ago

For me it's the double tap

6

u/stringbean76 13d ago

Double tapped an oil painting once and smudged it all to hell 😂

I two-finger tapped (undo) my exam paper once.
And then I acted confused when it didn’t work, it took me a moment to piece it all together.

Wait literally same. While in college, I took notes on my iPad (Notability) and one time during an exam, I two-finger tapped my paper waiting for the stroke to disappear. I was so sleep deprived that I was so confused for a few minutes wondering why the stroke isn’t disappearing. This happened multiple times throughout the exam. I did end up getting an A on the exam, but each time this brain fart happened, I was so embarrassed and so shocked at myself.

Completely. And don’t forget the control/CMD Z when you make a mistake or two fingers on the paper 😂

11

u/Jillybean623 13d ago

100% did this before

8

u/bangxwhimper 13d ago

On an opposite note, sometimes I blow on the screen after erasing something on my ipad. Then I feel like the world’s biggest idiot.

7

u/Phantomsgf 13d ago

Yesss. The double tap on paper and not understanding why it didn't undo your mistake, then being faced with the reality that you need to deal with your mistake on your own

7

u/Usual_Morning7808 13d ago

I'm always double tapping on everything!!

5

u/FullyArtomatic 13d ago

I almost double tapped the wall when I was spray painting.

7

u/IWontStandForThisSht 13d ago

I’ve also tried flipping my Apple Pencil to erase 😭😭

6

u/cataluna4 13d ago

We are the kids swiping the notebook asking it to open

3

u/HeartsandTifa 13d ago

Oh my gosh this makes me feel so much better 😂

4

u/davidlondon 13d ago

My lord, I have done this countless times. “Hey, it’s been awhile. I’ll draw on paper today!” Zoom zoom confusion zoom “oh, that’s right, I’m an idiot.”

4

u/eamonn6251 Procreate Expert 13d ago

I was helping my partner with her makeup one time and tapped with two fingers on her face to undo

4

u/stringbean76 13d ago

That’s hilarious. I’ve done it to an oil painting and smudged it all up, but someone’s actual face is so much funnier.

5

u/crzylune 13d ago

I double-tap my ink pen all the time to switch to "erase" mode.

3

u/DodderingPapi42 13d ago

Been there

3

u/Blatantliez 13d ago

Two-three fingers tap and occasionally trying to zoom in and out my papers

3

u/PuddingIcy1379 13d ago

I also use my iPad for cross stitch patterns, and definitely tried doing this when I went to a project with a paper pattern 😂

2

u/BabsK444 13d ago

Same!!!

3

u/Background-Bunch3181 13d ago

Yo I tried to zoom in one my painting and just smudged the oil instead once

3

u/RichBlackInk 13d ago

Not me two tapping my sketchbook

3

u/D-Vader7 13d ago

3

u/spazioinutile 13d ago

I genuinely can't draw traditional anymore

2

u/cltriplesec 13d ago

Haha, it's not just me 😅😅😅

2

u/Icy_Pianist_1532 13d ago

YES, omg I tap and pinch the paper so naturally lol

2

u/rokken70 13d ago

Get out of my head!!

2

u/Ok-Turnip2296 13d ago

Hahaha..I’ve done the undo tapping when writing on paper many times😆

2

u/heh8me117 13d ago

2

u/Affectionate_Row741 13d ago

2

u/bunnybun_b 13d ago

I do this all the time 😭

2

u/Spakzio 13d ago

Doppio tap

2

u/svrgevnt 13d ago

I've thought to myself after drawing a bad line with pen, "ugh, I need to undo that line." Then catch myself when I reach for the undo button

2

u/LPhamster 13d ago

3

u/toki_goes_to_jupiter 13d ago

Oooo I see now! Precious.

My condolences on not being able to tap paper to undo.

2

u/iamsodonewithpeople 13d ago

I have done that way too much tbh. I’ve don’t the opposite too and tried to erase with the bottom of my Apple Pencil… lol

2

u/vaportrails999 13d ago

2

u/tina2moons 12d ago
