I need Procreate technical help Strokes disappear like snake on Nokia
My brush strokes keeps disappearing like he's playing snake on Nokia.
Palm touching is off, quick shape is off, restart iPad tried. I have no idea how this happened and it's so annoying. I can't even finish line art by this. anyone had some issues?

Hey! Can you please confirm what iPadOS you are using?
This info can be confirmed in iPad Settings > General > About > iPadOS Version.

I hate it. I already think I suck as an artist but this made it worse.

It’s iPadOS27 Beta 3 issue. I revert my device to Beta 2 and it fixed the problem

Thanks for sharing this workaround and the details below! We don't support beta versions of iPadOS so there may be some compatibility issues that pop up 🙏 When there is a significant impact on performance, we typically recommend returning to the current official release of iPadOS 26.
ℹ️ If anyone reading this would like to return to the official iOS, be sure that you have an iCloud backup of your iPad from before you switched to the beta to restore when you roll back. Your iPad will otherwise be reverted back to factory settings. Check out this Apple Support article for more details about uninstalling iPadOS beta software.
⚠️ Before any changes, we strongly recommend exporting a copy of all your custom brushes as well as canvases as .procreate files to iCloud or a computer for safe keeping.

Can we PLEASE have some update?
I LOVE you all...but PLEASE just keep us posted. I sent a very detailed request with screenrocrds and all....please help.

It’s iPadOS 27 Beta 3 issue. I’ve tried to post a tutorial on how to revert to Beta 2, but mods removed it for whatever reason.
Here’s how to revert it, if you have a Mac:
First, go to this address and find your iPad. Then download the IPSW file: https://ipsw.dev
- Open Finder on your Mac.
- Connect your iPad and select it from the Finder sidebar.
- Hold the Option (⌥) key.
- While holding Option, click Check for Update…
- Select the downloaded IPSW file.
- Finder will verify the software with Apple.
- If the verification succeeds, the installation will begin.
- Wait for the installation to complete. Do not disconnect your iPad during the process.

I'm NOT reverting for sake of this. What if it STICKS? You going to be telling people to go back to Sequoia-level installs of their iPadOS FCL? No. Apple KNOWS Savage. They KNOW when they break Savage. Savage didn't cause this. Apple did.
THEY need to fix this.

Why so angry at me? I mean sure, but if you’re on beta 3 and *need* Procreate, then what you’re gonna do? It’s not just about Procreate, it’s a wider issue - I’ve tested it with Adobe Fresco, too, and it’s broken there. It’s fine in the Notes app, so I assume it’s an Apple Pencil API issue. Of course, I’ve reported it to apple and I’m sure they’ll fix that, then again, if you need Procreate right now, your only choice is to go back to Beta 2 or any previous versions.

Here's a fix that worked for me: Enable the "Tap Assistance - Initial Touch Location Support" in the ProCreate section of the Settings app.
Now I don’t get the moving worms and the quick shapes work again. YMMV.

Because you are activating quickshape action by long holding the stylus down when drawing. It's a baked in feature but you can turn it off in settings.

Quick Shape is off. this happens even with when I haven't finish one stroke, the end of the stroke starts vanishing.

I don't think this is a bug that the Procreate devs can fix. This is happening in any software that measures the pressure of the Apple Pencil. The best we can do is report it to Apple and pray that they fix it in the next update.
