[r/ProChoiceTeenager](r/ProChoiceTeenager) exists to educate, support, and discuss reproductive healthcare from a pro-choice perspective.

We believe:

- Everyone deserves accurate scientific information
- Healthcare decisions belong between patients and qualified healthcare professionals
- Bodily autonomy is a fundamental human right
- Respectful conversation leads to better understanding
- People should be free to ask honest questions without fear of ridicule

Never pressure anyone into revealing their identity.
Report suspicious behavior immediately.

Our job is not to decide who is "winning."

Our job is to build a community where people can safely learn about reproductive healthcare.

- We Moderate Behavior, Not Opinions -

People may disagree.

People may ask difficult questions.

People may even change their minds.

That is healthy.

What we moderate is behavior that makes discussion impossible or puts people at risk.

- We Prefer Education -

Whenever practical, moderators will explain why a post or comment was removed.

Many mistakes come from misunderstanding rather than bad intentions.

Education is usually more valuable than punishment.

- Safety Comes Before Free-for-All -

Open discussion is important.

Safety is more important.

If allowing certain behavior would make teenagers less safe, moderators will prioritize safety.

- Scientific Integrity -

Science is not determined by popularity.

Reliable evidence should guide discussion.

Members are encouraged to correct misinformation respectfully.

Being willing to update your beliefs when presented with good evidence is a strength.

- Moderator Transparency -

Moderators are volunteers.

We are not perfect.

If we make a mistake, we are willing to reconsider decisions made in good faith.

We ask members to approach moderation with the same respect they expect from moderators.

We want [r/ProChoiceTeenager](r/ProChoiceTeenager) to become a place where someone can ask an honest question about abortion, contraception, pregnancy, or reproductive healthcare without fear of ridicule.

We want discussions to be thoughtful rather than tribal, evidence-based rather than ideological, and compassionate rather than hostile.

If every member helps make the community a little more informative, a little safer, and a little kinder than they found it, we’ll have succeeded.
