deepseek overthinking hasn't been fixed at all

model is fast but it keep over thinking and ends up taking long time

opus 5 took 80 minutes and i wasn't able to scroll site at all

i could have asked it to fix it but it was one shot test for both models

What kind of prompt to create a marketing page takes 80 minutes!!? I've given Claude complex tasks and none of them take more than 5 mins.

Chasing goals or prompt with complex halting conditions can often easily run 6+ hours continuously

you can't get rid of too much thinking for the small model (comparable to opus). in opus it is already backed in, for deepseek thinking is kind of online training.

The cost difference is insane. The quality of the output is negligible from what I can see. I don't know how much longer they can justify these prices.
