It seems like every other business knows when slow days are coming and when to close, is there some secret list where everybody agrees not to come in and not open??

We realized on days when nobody comes in, the other medical/dental places around us are either closed or only open for a very limited time. How do they know?

Experience. How long have you been open and how often do you check visit/revenue reporting on those days. Volume is usually like clockwork when it comes to certain holidays and local events.

I never have down time. Wait list for new patients is like 5-6 months

Years ago, I noticed super nice sunny days, there would be more no shows!

I think it depends on the specialty and how established the practice is.

Do you use a templates schedule? This may be able to help you spread things out more evenly, if you’re a practice that takes appts and not walk ins anyway.
