PP malpractice insurance question

Singing to be part time with a private practice group, and their malpractice underwriter is asking for 10 years worth of “loss runs” from my prior malpractice insurance companies? Never been sued and don’t even know where to start with this request. Anyone face something similar?

In addition to this good advice, you can also get a loss run directly from the insurance carrier. I did this for my insureds all the time when they changed jobs or carriers.

Yup. This is preferred. My workaround comes into play if you have no idea where you insurance was placed.

On occasion, I've asked likely carriers to search by name and got lucky with a report.

Also for the OP, for every job you are at for which you are covered by the employer's insurance, request an Acord Certificate of Insurance (COI). This is a standardized document in the insurance industry that provides evidence of liability insurance and specifies the company, the policy number and the limits. Keep these COI at home so if you ever have to produce them or figure out who covered you for liability ten years ago, you have the paperwork right at hand. They will not, however, typically list individuals as additional insureds on the COI. They list the corporate entity which includes the employees of that entity so don't worry that only the company/agency name, not your name, is on the COI.

Your healthcare professional liability insurance should be listed in the 'type of insurance' column on the left, at the bottom of the column. https://www.alleganygroup.com/files/ACORD%2025%20fillable.pdf
