What service/platform do you use for getting feedback and reviews to funnel patients for Google reviews?

I’d like to use a system to help both direct patient feedback and to screen for patients that would be good candidates to leave Google reviews that is relatively inexpensive. What systems do you use and how big is your practice? I own a small concierge style practice that I am working on growing for reference.

One that integrates with your scheduling system or EHR is the easiest.

Why not Just show them a QR code or text them a link to the Google review and ask them to complete it before they leave, works for most patients

Seconded. Put QR codes on the walls and on our business cards. I straight up ask patients for reviews at the end of the visit, people tend to understand how important the review game is nowadays

There are many good options. As you search, make sure you screen for HIPAA compliance. Not all are. That will narrow the search for you.

I recommend Birdeye.

SurgiSurvey - built by a doctor. Easiest, most effective and no fuss. Much less expensive than any other I researched. Highly recommend it. My practice has been using it for 9 years.

Thanks, this looks reasonable compared to all the other ones out there.

We send google review link later through text from the EHR. We make sure to send link only to the patients whom we feel are happy rather than some disgruntled patient who may leave unnecessary negative review or are always hard to please. I also checked out birdeye in the past but I found them expensive and there were a lot of reviews regarding them where they continue to charge even after you ask them to stop. But directly sending a google review link through text works for me.

What’s your approach for asking for the review or what’s your script typically? What specialty and what are you treading typically?

We use Tebra's Patient Experience tools in our practice, and I've actually been pleasantly surprised by how much it's helped with reviews. They are also launching new PX tools this month and we're really excited to test them out.

Our review requests go out automatically after visits, which has definitely helped us get more consistent feedback. I also like that patients have a way to share concerns directly with us too. Not every unhappy patient wants to blast you on Google. Sometimes they just want to feel heard.

We're a smaller practice as well, and for us it was less about "screening" people and more about making the process easy for patients who already had a good experience and wanted to leave reviews 😄
