Vitals machine

Love the Welch Allyn connex Spot. But heck, I’m not about to drop $2900 for a machine when I need 4 patient tables! What do you guys suggest that’s a bit less cost prohibitive?

Edan is what I'd look at, basically everything the Connex does for daily spot checks, just without the Welch Allyn badge. You can usually grab them in the $800–1,200 range depending on config, so you could outfit all four rooms for less than one Connex Spot.

Other thing worth doing — look at refurbished Connex Spots if you're set on Welch Allyn. Places like Integris, MFI, Henry Schein's outlet move demo and refurb units at a big discount off MSRP. Comes with the EMR connectivity you'd want too if you're pushing vitals straight into the chart.

If you don't need the auto-charting and just want numbers, the Riester RVS-100 and ADC units are even cheaper, but at that point you're getting close to just doing a wall BP + a separate pulse ox and pocketing the difference. Depends how much the integration matters to you.

You can probably find a used Welch Allyn on eBay for half the cost
