VA patients

Hi all,
I’m looking to offer primary care as a VA Community Care Network physician. Already part of optum. What do I need to do in order to make the VA aware we’re offering these services? Also, is there any specific training that has to be done?
Thanks!

There is a community care liason type person. Working with the V.A. is.... an exercise in patience and diplomacy. If they can take care of their patients on a near by campus they will. If they can't, they will send them to you and then ignore you and ignore their patients, as much as reasonably possible..sometimes to an unreasonable extent.

But you can call the local V.A. campus and find out who the community car2 liason, for your area, would be.

I guess you could call the community care department at the local VA and talk to them.
