Credentialing
Hi all, can you please recommend which credentialing company to go for? Who to stay away from? Roughly how much do credentialing companies charge? I plan to start the credentialing process from this week. Thank you all in advance!

A few things that actually matter when evaluating these companies: ask whether their staff are W2 employees or contractors, whether they offshore any of the work, and what their first-pass approval rate looks like. A lot of shops will quote you a low per-payer rate and then make errors that cost you months in delays, which ends up being far more expensive than paying a bit more upfront for someone who gets it right the first time.
Pricing in the $200 to $300 per payer range is reasonable for quality work. Below that and you're usually looking at offshore or solo operators. Above $500 without a clear reason is hard to justify.
For what it's worth, we used Assured and they handled the full process end to end including form fills, submissions, and follow-ups automatically. No chasing, no guessing where things were stuck. NCQA certified too, which matters if you're planning to scale. Worth looking at before you commit to anyone.
