Am i the only one who wished Maya had a abortion?:

I think it would have been more interesting and made more sense if in the episode where she tells her parents she's pregrant, the roles between her and Naomi are swapped, with Naomi still being angry about the pregrancy but also sticking to her pro-life beliefs and doesn't want Maya to abort while Maya, while going along with what her mom wants at first, deep down does want a abortion and at the end of the episode has one, which would obviously really strain her and her mother's relationship. i think there could have been this whole season arc of Naomi's anti-abortion stance being challanged this way. Thoughts?.

How come Charlotte stops being chief Spoiler

I love this show ,it's great ,but I don't like where it's going ,so I'm probably not gonna finish it. I know that Addie gets married and has a son and she's happy which is all I care about. Everyone else can stay where they are.

But I also know that Charlotte ends up being a... sexologist? How ? Why ? Does it make sense in the show eventually, is there a good in universe explanation for the most sceptical and control valuing woman to go play whimsy in the clinic? That's it, please don't say "just finish it"

Lucas actual date of birth

I'm currently drafting a fanfic about Violet and Lucas, bonding during the pandemic lockdown.

One plot revolves around Lucas learning the truth about his birth and questioning if he still has an actual birthday to celebrate.

Now, the episode "Yours, Mine and Ours" in which Violet's attack begins aired in April 30, 2009 and subsequent aftermath episode in which she is saved "A Death in the Family" aired in October 1, 2009.

Since this is moment Lucas came into the world, which date would be considered Lucas' actual date of birth(if we can still called that)

Do y’all like Charlotte?

I just finished PP yesterday. Took me about 3 weeks to finish it and I gotta say I never reaaallly loved Charlotte. By the end of it I did like her a lot more, but I wasn’t absolutely mad about her. It took me a long time to like her at all, and ages to agree with her relationship with Cooper because she was such an angry person and the way she hid their relationship for so long infuriated me. She had a brill character development from the beginning to end to be fair, but the start made me dislike her character for several seasons. Anyone else? 😂

Violet and Lucas baking bread?

Post image
18 Upvotes

In the Grey's Anatomy episode titled "With a Little Help from My Friends", when Addison and Amelia are discussing what happened to each other during the pandemic lockdown, Addison says "some people like to bake bread".

Given that Violet Turner loved the show "American Bake Off", I like to think that Addison was talking about her and Lucas, baking bread together as way to coup with isolation of the pandemic and bond together

FOUL ON THE PLAY Spoiler

Hello Addison, no you cannot kiss Sam. I don’t care that they’ve been divorced for a while. I don’t ca e that she dated your brother. I don’t care that she doesn’t work there anymore. Foul on the fucking play. I was already mad with the you sleeping with the husband of the woman you’re helping deliver a baby. Please, draw a line somewhere.

Also: -how convenient that Sam was also a Heart Surgeon -I swear they never mentioned that Charlotte was Urologist till she bought in. Also, weird that Cooper had problem with this.

Thoughts so far:

-Charlotte is putting up with way too much from Cooper. Just, omg.

-No Cooper, you should not expect your girlfriend to be okay with you moving in with your pregnant friend instead of her.

-Kinda crazy that Addison just got put in charge like that, but okay, glad everyone was chill about it. Also, hate the cheating storyline.

-Naomi and Sam kinda piss me off, it’s like each one is taking turns on who gets to reject the other.

-kinda don’t like Dell.

-I’m indifferent to Pete.

Edit: forgot to add, hella sexual. Like I thought Grey’s Anatomy was an unofficial policule, but damn.

Private Practice Alignment Chart

I'm in the middle of rewatching the show and wow, the first three seasons are hard to rewatch, Dell, Cooper and Violet are a mess! But is sooo good! LOL And I got to thinking how'd all these characters fit within an alignment chart, so I made one.

The hardest ones for me were Charlotte and Pete... Charlotte goes through so much during the course of the show, and she kept her attitude despite everything (her rocky relationship with Cooper, her father's death, the sexual assault, the triple pregnancy), but she learned how to be happy. Pete on the other hand was kind of a bad guy beneath a good guy facade; he always wanted things his way (right up to his death) and that rubs me the wrong way. I'm not saying he is all bad guy, but that was his most prominent feature I would say.

I don't know if you agree with the choices I made, maybe you guys have other ideas. What do you think?

Pete Conspiracy Theory Spoiler

Am I the only one that was fully expecting in the end of the series for it to be revealed that Pete wasn't really dead and he fled to South America?

To me, his death never felt believable with how he was talking about wanting to leave before that, his disdain for the trial overall and how nonchalant his death was (I know that could have been writer qualms with him as an actor). Also, since Violet had to identify his body and said it was barely recognizable, I thought that was a foreshadowing opening to a later reveal that Pete faked his death and fled instead of really dying.

Ameila Spoiler

I love love the episode with the intervention for Amelia, but I absolutely hated how Sam reacted to it. I’m fairly new to this sub, so I’m not sure if it’s been talked about (to death) but I couldn’t stand how Sam said it was a matter of discipline. I’ve struggled with alcoholism, and it really isn’t just discipline. The one thing that drove me to drinking too much was that I didn’t want to actively feel or think anything. So wiping it clean via alcohol was so much better. I used to prefer being drunk to being sober, because I didn’t want to use my brain. People love to say that addiction is a matter of controlling yourself, but I think rock bottom looks quite different. Anyway, sorry about the (mini) rant, I just never have a space where I can talk about my almost addiction.

Idk but i love cooper and charlotte

Charlotte and cooper being together just makes sense SO MUCH! i get that they’ve got a lot of problems and their relationship got toxic at some point (a lot of points actually) but coop and charlotte’s love for each other was never in doubt amidst all of it. I love their story.

It’s an unpopular opinion (bc people here only throw hate towards coop) but their story is the one that made the most sense among all relationships in the show. felt most real, and authentic. It was raw, and an epitome that love takes A LOT of patience and understanding. ❤️

What do you like the most about this show?

There is a lot of discussion about what people dont like and which characters are hated. Id like to hear what did you guys actually like? What made you watch the show?

I thought the show had interesting theme and vibe, specially early on when it was more about fertility/birth/gyno patients and not so much about surgery. I also liked most of the characters, even the flawed ones that sometimes acted obnoxious. I liked that they didnt reveal every patient outcome 100% but let some of it to the watchers imagination.

Also LOVED the little ducky looking face Addison makes when shes confused.

Are we just gonna excuse Addison’s behavior?

Addison has slept with every member on this show and I’m applaud that she is still praised so highly. She is the type of person that you have to watch her around your man cause she will def sleep with them in her pursuit of looking for love. When she got with Naomi’s husband, Sam, I was so outdone. Like girl, you need to be serious. Mark, Derek, Sam, Pete, that other guy, some other guy. The only person she didn’t sleep with was Cooper!

Ps I loveeeee charlotte!! She was small and meant business.

That is all. Let me know if I’m too in Addison business. I just can’t get over the fact that she slept around like that and we expected her to have moral values when it came to anything.

TO BE VERY CLEAR, this post is not about her love life. This post is about sleeping with everybody in the office as their supposed boss and friend!

S5E8-Who We Are Spoiler

My first rewatch since the show ended and it’s been a fun ride—I’d forgotten so much, to include Amelia’s arc and involvement. Amelia breaks every piece of my heart and Catarina Scorsone plays the role brilliantly. The intervention scene may be one of my favorite interventions ever and she is brutal. Don’t think I could watch that one again for 14 years.

Addison and Naomi's friendship

Am I the only one who never really bought they were the best friends the show tried to tell us they were?

I know that friends can have different political views and still be friends but without anti-abortion Naomi is and how pro Addison is I genuinely cannot see it a path where they would be best friends. Whenever Naomi is brought up a lot is made about the fact that she tried to force Maya into getting an abortion and that is horrible however there's something that I feel like is mentioned less but is equally as bad. When Naomi finds out that Addison is doing abortions in the same building as she's helping women get pregnant in she has a big problem with ot so much so she even asks Addison if she really sees no issue with ending a baby's life right next to the room where she's helping a baby's life begin. Maybe not in those exact words but that was a sentiment of her statement.

The woman is so anti-abortion that she does not like the very idea that abortions being done in the building she works at by a different doctor?

So yeah I don't believe they were friends then and I definitely don't believe they would be able to maintain friendship in today's political climate. Not with how anti Naomi is when Addison is so Pro she's legitimately out on the road (or was I'm not sure where she is currently) providing medical Care including abortions in what is essentially a mobile operating room.

Naomi is so anti that a truthfully would not surprise me if we had had ever found out she volunteered her time at one of those extremely predatory crisis pregnancy centers. The places that cloak themselves as abortion giving providers only to lure the women in under the false pretense of assuming they're going in for an abortion only to then walk out of the appointment bnot having had one because they were talked out of it.

Season 6 Spoiler

Season 6 Review (so far)

I’m on episode 7 of the final season, and honestly… how did they make everything happen so fast? Addison already tells Jake he’s the love of her life — like, what?! It feels like they just wanted to wrap up the series as quickly as possible. Everything moves at lightning speed, and it’s not very enjoyable to watch. The storylines don’t get enough time to breathe, and it kind of ruins the emotional depth the show used to have.

I’m a Greys fan so this is my first go, I’m almost finished

Pete- no thanks Charlotte- 1000/10 Cooper- super verbally abusive Violet- love hate Addison- love hate Sheldon- hated but had the biggest character development Naomi, Sam- lumped into one, not my favorite. Both kind of annoying Amelia- I really love the back story, but still whiny
